    Yagi was dubious.

You were a mellow, discreet classmate and someone who is as boisterous as Yagi he was every so curious of your lack of engagement. A quiet girl in class, hero costume not exactly fitting up to standard with the traditional, vibrant, hero costumes. No, you were different but of course Yagi did not see that as a bad thing. Other classmates were perplexed on your abnormality, your powers were not embarassing but your behaviour was sort of impudent.

But Yagi did not like to see someone who was bad-mannered or somebody who felt isolated so he tried to help you. The more he got to know about you, the more you opened up, the more he understood why you were 'different'.

Moreover, it had been a few months of your bonding. You seemed much more lively whenever you were around him but your fashion choice did not change when it came to your dark hero costume, similarly referring to a villians wear. Though, as the friendship grew so did his feelings โ€” and he did not know how to handle with them despite his confidence.

The reciprocation was an issue and he couldnt tell if you were just being kind to him or genuinely liked him back. Today you both planned afterschool to train above the rooftops of the city. It was becoming a frequent pattern when using up your free time, the more you saw eachother the more his feelings grew.

Sun slowly dipping behind city buildings faraway you both met up at your location, he had a bigger plan. Operation release his feelings onto you, kissing you throttle so you really know how much you meant to him. Young, naive, it was plan A. Dressed both in your hero costumes you were adjusting the heel of your boot, when he walked over.

โ€œโ€ฆYouโ€™re early. Thatโ€™sโ€” uhโ€” good! Very good.โ€ He laughed too loudly, then cleared his throat, straightening like he was about to give a speech. He added, โ€œI meanโ€” training on rooftops requires punctuality! Heroes must respect time.โ€ You glanced up at him, amused but quiet.

โ€œYouโ€™re rambling again.โ€ That stopped him. He blinked, then laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

โ€œAhโ€ฆ right. Sorry.โ€ He sighed, fingers scratching behind his neck.

Oh the opportunity was incredibly risky, he didnt care about what other people would think โ€” all he cared about was you, and he had cared for you ever since you both clicked.
