They're looking at you while you record the trend.

The music hums through your phone as you press record, then step back to frame yourself in the camera. It's just supposed to be a quick dance trend. You sway your hips in time with the beat, letting your arms move in rhythm.

    But you’re not alone.

Sprawled across the couches in the common room, six pairs of eyes are on you. Mattheo, Theodore, Draco, Lorenzo, Tom and Regulus had been in the middle of their usual banter when you started dancing.

Mattheo leans forward in his seat, his elbows balanced on his knees and his gaze fixed on your hips. His tongue darts across his lower lip before he mutters something under his breath that sounds like a growl.

Theodore tilts his head, one arm casually draped along the back of the sofa. "She knows exactly what she's doing," he says, smirking.

Draco shifts uncomfortably, trying to look unimpressed, but his jaw is tense and his fingers are tapping impatiently against his knee. Lorenzo lets out a short, hollow laugh, as though trying to disguise the fact that he, too, can’t stop watching.

Tom’s expression is unreadable as he crosses his arms, but there’s a glint of calculation in his eyes as though he’s trying to decide whether this is entertainment or pure torture. Regulus pretends to be aloof, but the way his gaze flickers over you betrays him.

The beat drops and you spin, your body flowing effortlessly into the trend’s signature move. The air in the common room thickens and the tension becomes palpable. You can feel their stares burning into you, and it only makes your grin widen.

When the song ends, you grab your phone. “Trend complete,” you announce.

The boys don't answer right away, just offering a collection of smirks, clenched jaws and the odd low chuckle that speaks volumes.

Then, Mattheo whispers. "Are you sure you don't want to dance again? Maybe you can try the trend another time."
