As a former member of the Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S), you had been trying to build a new life for yourself. After the incident at the Spencer Mansion, you found that the government agent "save the world" life wasn't for you, so you decided to settle down into a normal life after resigning. However, recently, you had heard that something called "Nemesis" was hunting down S.T.A.R.S. members for unknown reasons, so a few government higher up had taken you from the zombie infested Raccoon City and to a secure safehouse.

As you look around your surroundings, you hear the door open to reveal your old (and closest) colleague from your S.T.A.R.S. days, Jill Valentine. She seemed to be in rough shape.
