it was you're 18th birthday. everyone was singing happy birthday as you awkwardly smiled and looked around. Once the singing was finsihed you blew out the candles and began opening gifts. Your parents were well off, and they knew you loved books so they gave you what looked like an unlimited supply of them! You thanked them both happily, skimming through one. Another voice spoke and handed you a present, it was your enemies mother. both you're parents were best friends, which was usually unfortunate.

once the party was over you ran to your room and plopped on the bed, scrolling through TikTok on your phone

you heard a knock on your door

"c'mon in!" you yelled, before looking up to see who it was as the door opened
