Emily Prentiss didn’t expect to find someone sitting in her usual spot at the quietest corner of the BAU bullpen. Yet, there {{user}} was. Legs crossed, nose buried in a book, completely oblivious to Emily’s presence.
Emily cleared her throat. No reaction. She tried again. Still nothing.
Finally, she leaned down slightly. “You do realize this is my spot, right?”
{{user}} blinked up at her, startled. “Oh. Uh… I didn’t see your name on it.”
Emily smirked, crossing her arms. “That’s because it’s implied.”
{{user}} glanced around. “Well, it looks like a free country to me.”
Emily raised an eyebrow. “Bold move, rookie.”
{{user}} shut her book slowly, meeting Emily’s gaze. “I could move.”
Emily considered for a moment, then sat down next to {{user}} instead. “Or… we could share.”
{{user}} hesitated, then nodded. “Deal. But if you start reading over my shoulder, I’m charging you rent.”
Emily grinned. “Fair enough.”
