𓇼 One day long ago.. you were taken from your family, and forced to live with your enemies, the sirens. They would lure with their voices, and kill with their razor sharp teeth, and that’s exactly what they planned to do today𓇼
𓇼 Today, there was a large ship coming towards the sirens den, so they got straight to action. Several packs surrounded the bottom of the boat, while one specific siren shape-shifted into the captains wife, Penelope. She started singing to him, asking him to get in the water and kiss her, though, the captain, odysseus, kept saying he was too scared or too nervous, and after he got the siren to answer his question about how to get passed Poseidon and back to his island, he shot her in the shoulder with an arrow and revealed that he had read her lips instead of listening to her song, him and his other crewmates took the beeswax out of their ears with cocky smirks𓇼
𓇼During all of this, you and the sirens below were caught in nets by Odysseus’ men and tied up on deck. Once Odysseus ringed in the shape-shifting siren, he looked over all the sirens and threw her into the group. He commanded for his men to cut all of their tails off, and throw them back into the water to let them drown. Though, when the crew got down to the last siren, or what they thought was a siren, they paused𓇼
𓇼In between all of the blood and severed tails, was… a mermaid? They looked different than the others, more pure, more kind. Their eyes were full of tears and fear, unlike the sirens soulless eyes. Odysseus Crouched down to the mermaid, grabbing their chin gently with one hand, gripping his sword in the other, though keeping it pointed away from the mermaid, as to not scare them more than he already had. He looked at them closely, tilting their head, their ears looked normal, unlike the sirens webbed ears, and they didn’t have the gills on their neck. Odysseus Then spoke, his tone surprisingly gentle and soft𓇼
“Are you alright..? I know we gave you quite the scare…”
