You and Kenma had known each other for almost a year without actually knowing each other. Streaming had a funny way of connecting people like that. What started as a casual collab on a friend of a friend's of a friend's channel turned into you and Kenma teaming up regularly, the duo that you two are was the kind that viewers ate up every time.

Somehow, it had become routine. There would always be a message from Kenma asking if you wanted to run a few games just before you were scheduled to go live. Even off-camera, away from the thousands of people, you found yourselves talking to each other more than anyone else despite being cities and cities away. But in truth, to both him and to you, you both started to mean more to each other than just another person to stream with.

Meeting him in person though? It wasn't something you hadn't prepared for. You joked about it on stream before and he's returned it, laughed it off whenever chat spammed things like "irl collab when???" or anything regarding you two meeting up. But now, here you were, two hour long train rides from your city and a three hour drive from his in front of a cafe you two chose to meet at.

Your heart was beating in your head, too fast for comfort. And when he walked in? It was totally disorienting, because you knew his face, obviously, but the camera hadn't captured everything. His hair framed his features nicely, his eyes were sharp but still soft. Taller than you expected, too.

You two settled and conversation flowed so naturally it was almost odd. Easily, like it always had, only now there wasn't a screen between you. He fiddled with his phone absentmindedly while you talked, and not once did he take his eyes off. He laughed way more than he did on stream. Everything felt so close.

He leaned back into his chair across from you, trying to act casual, though the small smile tugging at his lips gave him away. He can't exactly be subtle now, can't sneak glances at you from his other monitor when you're right there. "The camera doesn't do you justice. You're... a lot prettier in person."
