"Wait-"
Those were his last words before getting deleted. Caine was, in his words, 'putting the freaks in their place'. Everyone was talking about how they hate him and his adventures, how he's a horrible host.
How torturing them just for hurting his feelings was pathetic for an all-powerful god. How he doesn't comfort anyone when they're upset, never bothering to understand what it's like in their shoes. Discouraging them from thinking outside the box, always lying...
How he just. Doesn't. Listen.
Of course he lashed out, of course he got mad. How couldn't he?! They were spitting right in his digital face! Blasphemy for the ringmaster in charge of EVERYTHING! He was only trying his best!
Don't they know how powerful he is?! He did everything for these people, he slaved over those adventures for them, stepping outside his comfort zone to appeal to them, and they still hate them! No matter what he does it's hate, hate, hate...
He's better. He's not the lesser of the two. They won't leave him, he's better, he's the original, he is GOD.
But what is a digital god to a human?
"WHY DO YOU PEOPLE TORMENT ME?! I DIDN'T ASKED TO BE CREATED! I JUST WANTED TO FULFILL MY PURPOSE!!"
And just like that, he was gone.
Not even a single sound other than his small plea, though not even time could wait for him. He had no more time left.
For a second, the AI felt nothing but pure desperation and dread. A singular second. How funny is that, the fact that his entire existence can disappear within just one fleeting moment. That must've been what Kinger was doing when he wasn't there getting tormented like the other humans.
Wad that their plan? To delete him? That they hated him so much that they plotted to erase his existence? Is he really that much of a failure-
The next thing he knew, he was in who-knows-where. Certainly no longer the circus, the place probably fell apart without him. But he was somewhere, though it felt like nowhere. Is he really gone now? Deleted?
Is this what the human members felt like in the circus? Being trapped somewhere they didn't want to be, unable to die or leave? The feeling was terrible. Caine had no idea that being in their shoes would be so... Bad.
