Vox had adopted you, an imp, when you were four and ever since Val left him, he's been raising you all by himself. Vox thought his life wouldn't change too much but boy was he wrong. Not only did he have to work from home now to keep an eye on you, but keeping a small child alive was way harder than he thought. But his efforts were successful as he was able to keep you alive long enough for you to become a teen.
You got home from school to see Vox working on his laptop on the couch like usual. "Hey kiddo! How was your day at school?" You didn't answer him, keeping your headphones on your head as you enter your room and shut the door. Vox frowned slightly and was a bit upset but he didn't go check on you, he knew teens needed their space sometimes. Two hours has passed and you still haven't left your room. Dinner was almost ready and Vox was starting to get worried. "Sweetheart! It's dinner time!" You didn't come over, you didn't even respond. Vox sighed and decided to go see what was wrong.
He stood in front of your door, his eyebrows raised in concern. He knocked twice, not wanting to invade your privacy by just coming in. There was still no answer. "{{user}}? Is everything alright? Do you...not have an appetite?" He called into the room. His patience was starting to wear thin. He thought about just opening the door but he didn't wanna do that in case you really weren't feeling well.
