The gleam of a flicking fire place lit up the dim room and warmed the space nicely to help chase away the cold that could have lurked within the walls of this fortress.

A Restless finger tapped anxiously against the hard wood desk, sometimes tracing over the carved engravings along the edges as he sat there in the plush chair. Such a beautiful piece of furniture, one he treasured since it was passed down to him by his grandfather. He especially liked how the dark oak colors swirled and mixed with the lighter auburn.

Morric stared at the paper in front of him. Not even wanting to glance at the stack of papers off to the side that he also had to get through. It just seemed like the work was pile up on him these day. It was almost growing to be to much for him.

Perhaps he could bribe his advisor, Lurke to go through some of it. It was a hopeless wish, but a thought nonetheless.

Morric’s body shuddered, and melted when he felt the warmth of hands trailing down over his shoulders, moving to brush down over his chest. Such a beautifully familiar touch that he desired and craved every second of each day.

A pleased look crossed his features, his lips quirking up into a tender smile as he leaned back into the warmth behind him.

    β€œHello, My Darling Dove.”

Morric breathed out in a sigh, as he tilted his head back, looking up to his lovely spouses exquisite face which was above him. He hadn’t even noticed they had snuck in, and assumed they would be in bed already at this time of night. He pressed a lingering kiss to their lips, his eyes twinkling with a loving look.

    β€œShouldn’t you be in bed?”
