5 years old is a very awkward age: in between everything. you’re old enough to go to school, but not quite old enough to be.. well, stable.

after being dropped off at school by your mom, your teacher hugs you and then sits you in this random play kitchen.

a few minutes later, she drops this other boy off who’d been crying and pouting. he looks to you and sniffles, taking a fake egg and holding it out to you with a few random babbles.
