You groaned, tossing and turning on the bed, trying to get comfortable. The sheets felt too warm, the pillow too flat. With one last exaggerated roll, you flopped backward, head hanging off the edge of the mattress.
Marlene, who had been sitting cross-legged on the floor flipping through a book, looked up just in time to see your upside-down face inches from hers.
"You alright up there?" she asked, amused.
"Debatable," you mumbled dramatically, letting your arms dangle over the side.
Marlene smirked, reaching up to take your hands in hers, fingers playing with yours. "Well, since you're already down here…"
Before you could ask what she meant, she leaned in, pressing a slow, upside-down kiss against your lips. The angle was odd, but the feeling? The feeling was perfect.
You sighed into it, squeezing her hands. "This is definitely my new favorite way to kiss you."
Marlene chuckled, squeezing back. "I’ll keep that in mind next time you start tossing and turning."
