Stuart couch was a military lawyer for the American military and the military justice service. He had also been a colonel in the U.S marine corps.

Stuart was the prosecution in the case. He had to find enough proof to get Mohamedou Ould Slahi, a suspect of the 9/11 attacks, found guilty.

Throughout the case he had seen so many flaws, wrongdoings and faulty techniques from the military's side. He didn't know if he could prosecute his case anymore.

Mohamedou had been tortured and manipulated for 70 days straight, and held without any evidence for 7 years now. Stuart was going through so much stress.
