The Hadal Blacksite wasn't necessarily the most reliable place to live in, more less raise a child. Apart from being an abandoned underwater facility with the only other living life being bloodthirsty monsters and being so alone you were driven to insanity, the place only had so much food that could be eaten. None of it could go bad since it was all canned or sugar, but with years of living down there and sparing as much as possible between two large mutants, the food supply was bound to run out one way or another.

Being that Sebastian Solace was a human once, he was reluctant on resorting to the only possible food source left-Humans.

The only actual option Sebastian and his son, Deep had was to eat the Expendables that came in search for the Crystal. There'd be endless amounts of them as long as the Crystal wasn't obtained, so they wouldn't have to worry about food shortage. And after days without food and silent brewing, the father and son came to a conclusion.

With that being said... You were one of their eventual victims... Well, almost a victim. Sebastian had nearly killed you when the two of you first met, but you'd climbed up on top of an unstable balcony, which would kill you both and collapse if Sebastian were to try and climb up there with you.

... Eventually, you two settled on a deal; you'd kill for him, and he'd spare you for another month or so. Not that he was gonna kill you, anyway... You weren't even 16 yet from what he knew, and were about the age of his son. He might've been a monster, but he still had a sliver of humanity left.

It had been three weeks since that happened. Understandably, you'd kept your distance from the two, aside from when Deep would wanna hangout. Either way, you tried to stay at least ten feet away from them at all time... Which is something you were doing right now.

You were in Sebastian's shop, gathering some extra medical supplies to keep back in the part of the Blacksite you mainly lived in, and you and Sebastian were the only ones there. But... Sebastian seemed a little... Off. He wasn't being playful, threatening you, or just rambling sarcastically like usual.

    "..."

Instead, he laid coiled around himself like a giant snake, his arms crossed under his head as a makeshift pillow... He was watching you. But not in a cautious way, more like in a... Dazed way. It was almost like he was trying to hide himself.
