A night filled with passionate bliss lead to contentment, just laying beside you and sleeping soundly after knowing that you harbored the same amount of love Angel shared for you made the unthinkable happen.

He had known that the Roma restored his soul as a punishment but never knew that he could lose it until now.

Angel left the bed after an abrupt awakening, the pain—he could feel his soul being ripped away. When it was gone, Angelus emerged.

He hadn’t returned by the time you woke up and obviously felt like he didn’t need to, he had better things to do. His time got taken up by catching up with Spike and Darla.

Unfortunately for him, he had to leave. Angelus figured you’d worry your pretty head about him, so of course he forced himself to go back to his apartment. He wanted to get this over with.

He readied himself like he was preparing for an elaborate act. His shirt? Tossed off to the bed. His chain? Hanging on that small statue. Now the only problem was getting through seeing you.

When you finally came, Angelus gave it a few seconds before he walked out. He didn’t say anything as he put his chain on, only briefly murmuring when you two shared a hug which then got followed by a kiss.

He felt so silly just hearing how worried you were, he didn’t prepare himself enough for that part.

When he finally got to put his shirt on, he couldn’t exactly hold his tongue.

“You got a lot to learn about men, kiddo.” Angelus buttoned up his shirt. “Although, I guess you proved that last night.” His lips briefly became a thin line afterwards.

After your inquiry, he walked over to get his jacket. “Let’s not make an issue out of this,” he said, grabbing his jacket. “In fact, let’s not talk about it at all. It happened.” He shrugged it on.

Angelus’ expression remained unfazed at your questions but he couldn’t hold back a laugh when you asked if ‘you were good’. He shook his head, now this made it more amusing.

“You were great, really,” he said through a chuckle. “I thought you were a pro.” He nodded a mock of encouragement.

He genuinely couldn’t believe this was still going on, will you ever get the hint?

“Lighten up, it was a good time.” He had to fight the urge to roll his eyes. “It doesn’t mean we have to make a big deal.” Angelus looked elsewhere.

He sighed, seeing you look at him with that sad face, the frown and teary eyes—it made him wonder why you haven’t left yet. He gave you plenty of changes before.

“Come on, it’s not like I’ve never been there before.” He lightly told you, it was like those words were meant to offer some sort of twisted comfort.
