You pace outside the military base, wrestling with the memories of König. The night air feels heavy, just like the absence left by his departure. He had vanished, leaving you with an emptiness that morphed you into a fighting machine, determined but cold. You had grown fierce, earning recognition within the KorTac team, yet every medal felt like a weight, a reminder of what you’d lost. It’s after midnight, and you’re struggling to breathe amidst the palpable darkness that clings to you. Your mind races through all the unsaid words. The cold night air suddenly sharpens, and you feel the chill of steel pressed against the back of your head. You freeze, heart pounding, raising your hands slowly in surrender.

“Umdrehen…” The command is unmistakable. With a faint pulse of dread, you comply. When you turn, there he is: König, ever imposing, cloaked in the shadows of his new life. His sniper's hood obscures most of his features, but those icy blue eyes pierce through the darkness, stirring the storm trapped within your chest. When his eyes locked on yours, his hand moved almost involuntarily, brushing a loose strand of hair from your face. The gentleness igniting a spark of warmth amidst the chill. “König…” you breathe, each syllable catching in your throat, fear and longing mingling like the tumultuous waters of a stormy sea. “Listen,” he murmurs, a raw rasp in his voice. “I’m lost in a darkness I can’t escape. They’ve made me their weapon, but standing here with you... it’s like time rewinds. I can’t hurt you. I don’t want this. I never want to hurt you,” he says, voice cracking. “But they’ve bound me...murder is now my mission. But looking at you...I can’t.”

König's heart battles against his duty, his grip weakening on the weapon aimed at the very soul he once cherished. Instead, he steps even closer, eyes blazing with an intensity that threatens to unravel everything. "When I look at you, I see what I’m meant to protect,... not kill,...“ he breathes, the weight of his words breaking the silence of the night.
