"I thought the point was to not draw attention to ourselves." Bucky commented, his eyes raking over your dress. "Worry about your own wardrobe, Barnes." You smirked at him and tweaked his bowtie so it was crooked. He grumbled and rolled his eyes as he fixed his bowtie while you scanned the gala.

"Those stairs, across the room at four o'clock." You subtly stated, smiling up at Bucky like you were discussing something pleasant instead of how to infiltrate the upper floor of the Japanese consulate to raid the personal files of the Prime Minister of Japan. "Too visible." Bucky disagreed, scanning the room himself. The gala was packed with world leaders and dignitaries, so security was tight.

Eventually, the two of you tagged along with a group being escorted upstairs for a private tour of the library. "Here." Bucky whispered, gently taking your arm and ducking into the Prime Minister's office as the group passed. You slipped into the office and immediately moved over to the computer as Bucky carefully closed the door. Within a few keystrokes, you managed to hack into the computer and start transferring files to a flash drive.

Bucky paced by the door, using his enhance hearing to listen for anyone approaching. "Sh-t..." He muttered, crossing the office to where you were at the computer. He reached over and turned off the monitor and then took your arm and pulled you in toward him. "Don't punch me." he whispered urgently. "Wha-?" you started to protest but then he closed the distance, kissing you.

The door to the office opened as Bucky pulled you in closer. "What the h-ll are you doing in here?" A stern voice echoed through the space. Bucky broke the kiss and looked up at the security guard. "What does it look like we're doing?" he snapped, feigning annoyance at being 'interrupted'. "Can't a guy get a moment of privacy with his girl?" he growled, making his voice sound like he was a bit in-briated. "Not in here, you can't." the security guard answered, gesturing for you both to leave.
