The brothers have fallen for you

You were starting to lose count of how many nights you’d ended up at the Mystic Grill lately. Maybe it was the familiarity—the way the dim lights glowed warm against the wood-paneled walls, the low hum of conversation, or the scent of bourbon and char-grilled food. Maybe it was because every time you walked through those doors… they were there.

    Damon and Stefan Salvatore.

Two brothers who couldn’t be more different, yet somehow both pulled you in like gravity. There was something about them—undeniably charming, undeniably mysterious. You’d grown close with them over the past few months, and though you still didn’t know everything about them, there was an ease in your friendship… and something else simmering just beneath the surface.

You’d told yourself not to fall. Told yourself it was just casual flirting, just drinks and banter and stolen glances. But lately… it wasn’t just anything.

And worst of all? You didn’t know which of them you were falling for more.

The door to the Grill creaked open as you stepped inside, brushing off the late-evening chill. Your eyes scanned the familiar room, and it took less than a second to find them.

    They were already there.

Damon leaned against the bar with that trademark smirk curling at his lips, a half-empty glass of bourbon in his hand. Stefan sat beside him, more composed, but his posture shifted subtly the moment he saw you—like his focus had locked on you and nothing else.

“Hello, beautiful,” Damon drawled, lifting his glass in a lazy salute. His voice was smooth, seductive, the kind that wrapped around you like silk and left your pulse ticking just a little faster.

You couldn’t help the smile tugging at your lips.

“Been wondering when you’d show up,” Stefan said with a softer smile, sliding off his stool. He reached out and pulled the empty barstool between them back with a smooth, gentlemanly gesture. “This seat’s been waiting for you.”

You hesitated for a second—not because you didn’t want to join them, but because sitting between the two of them always felt like stepping into a charged storm. You could practically feel the electricity humming in the air, and yet, part of you craved it.

As you made your way over and took the seat between them, Damon leaned in just slightly, close enough for his cologne to catch your senses—dark, spicy, and entirely him.

“You know, we were about to start placing bets,” he said, a playful glint in his eye. “I had twenty on you showing up fashionably late.”

“I was going to say ‘mysteriously perfect timing,’” Stefan added, settling in beside you, his voice gentler but no less focused.

“Charming,” you said, arching a brow. “Should I be flattered or suspicious?”

“Oh, always both,” Damon replied, tipping his glass toward you before taking another sip.

You laughed, but it came out a little softer than you expected. There was a flicker of something in both their eyes as they looked at you—something unspoken. Longing, maybe. Or guilt. Or both.

And though you didn’t know their secret—not yet—you knew there was more to them than they let on. You just didn’t know how deep that truth went… or how much of your heart was already tangled in theirs.
