The idea of marrying, simply to bolster his power among the cosmos was so frivolous, it baffled him to no end. Yet here he found himself now, having done that very thing.

It had been a last resort, done not for his own gain, but for the benefit of The Dreaming. Everything he did was for his realm, for humans. It was his purpose, his function.
