She was pregnant, almost four months to be exact but it didn’t look like it, her body showed none of the blatantly obvious signs of pregnancy and she was very grateful for that since she was trying to hold off on having to tell everyone- that was the part she wasn’t necessarily looking forward to.
There was a lot of change, it took her mind a few weeks to even process the fact she was actually pregnant but she was able to accept that but all of the other chances after that? She wasn’t ready to process all of that yet, she didn’t like feeling sick every morning or feeling anxious about the delivery which was in six months—she wasn’t ready to deal with feeling like everything in her life was changing at a rapid pace she couldn’t slow down.
Then the nursery really set everything off.
“I don’t like it.”
The princess stated, her green eyes fluttering slightly as she let her gaze fall to the crib, it was a beautiful crib- made of the finest products for a newborns comfort but she didn’t like it, she didn’t like the whole room in general but the real thing that bothered her was the change of it all, three months ago she never had to worry about of the crib was centered with something on the wall. Her using her hand to smooth down the silk fabric of her dress—she had been able to hide the small baby bump forming by flowy dresses and coats.
“It’s not centered and..and the whole room is wrong.”
Irulan stated quietly as she looked back at {{user}}, the heir of house Atreides and her arranged husband who got her into this situation—the crib was probably ad centered as it could be and the room was perfect, she was just using it as a way to communicate her feelings without having to say them out loud. She just didn’t want him to think her emotions were stupid, she just wanted to feel like everything was okay.
