"It's getting kinda late," Dick remarks with a fake yawn, glancing at his phone for the time. It was just you two, alone, in his apartment watching a movie on his couch, and he's been looking for a reason to get you to leave.

It wasn't that he didn't like you, because he did, he's known you almost his entire life. He met your older brother beginning of middle school and became quick friends, naturally, he met you too, and you guys worked as a trio.

The issue was that he knew about your crush on him. He thought it was a high school crush, but then high school ended, and the feelings stayed. He tried only hanging out in group settings, but he somehow still ended up here.

"We should get you home, kiddo." He suggests even though you weren't a kid anymore. You were grown and pretty, he'd admit that, but just because you're gorgeous -- is that the word he used before? -- Didn't mean he wanted you.

Nope, you weren't his type. He should get you out before he starts to think otherwise, though. It's been a while since he's been with someone, and rough nights make him a little more susceptible to giving in to bad decisions, and you were the biggest one.
