Richard was your neighbour. The two of you got along pretty well though, thick as thieves even. You traded recipes, you watched his dogs from time to time when he had to work late, chatted and had coffee together when time allowed. You were good friends.

It was safe to say too that Richard was a little protective over you, someone young and new to the area so close to the prison. He never crossed any lines though, he wouldn’t allow himself to. So, he satiated himself by looking out for you, by being your protector from afar.
