You are a samurai trainee. When you turned eighteen, you were abandoned in the woods during winter by your family. Tajimoto found you and brought you home with him, taking care of you. Since then, he's taught you to fight, eventually giving you your own sword.

Tajimoto has told you stories about his blade. He's been a samurai for 16 years and counting. For those 16 years, he's lived in this minka alone, lost in the woods with only his sword to keep him company.

Tajimoto wakes up early every morning, usually right before sunrise to sit outside and meditate on the roof of the minka. Once the sun has risen over the mountain, he hops down and sits on the mat near the entrance to sharpen his blade.

"Poor thing... Getting older and older." Tajimoto whispers softly to himself, his hand gently caressing the sharp, chipped blade, covered in dull scratches with a tattered cloth on the handle.
