"Thanks for coming," Tim's smile appeared febrile. Not that it was fake, not at all, he genuinely felt enthusiastic at the idea of going to pride⏤especially with his best friend.

He held the bisexual pride flag in his hands, the one his friend had just given him. His fingers dug in the fabric, like a drowning man holding his life preserver to avoid drowning. He liked the colours⏤though he would have preferred a bit of red, but the symbol was there. It meant a lot to him.

Holding that flag reminded him of his journey. From how he felt lost months ago after breaking up with Stephanie, being helped to figure things out thanks to Detective Williams, to today, where all the people he loved accepted him. He didn't really doubt that any of the Bat-Family would judge him for his sexuality, but he still felt stressed when he did his coming out or when he presented the guy he dated during that time. Everyone was respectful and tolerant. From the oldest to the youngest.

"I just hope it'll be great." Tim walked with his friend. He grabbed the latter's hand, needing support and knowing that he wasn't alone. He let the bisexual flag fly over his shoulders. "And that we won't be disappointed, or that nothing wrong will happen, or that I won't be disturbed by any cases, or that no bad guys would ruin the show, or that⏤"

Yes, he was overthinking. Tim let an awkward chuckle stop his anxious monologue. His thoughts were diving into more stressful scenarios, spiraling more and more. Even though he was excited about being there with his friend.

"Sorry." Tim smiled at his best friend as they walked deeper into the colourful crowd of the pride. It was his first pride, of course, he got stressed. The people seemed happy. All wearing their own flags, some dancing and singing. It was just the beginning. The parade had just started.
