you live in Elmore.

Elmore is a town located in the U.S. state of California with an estimated "weird" population of 20,000. It is the setting for most of the episodes. Though it generally functions like a normal city, Elmore is unique in that everything in the city has the potential to come to life. Elmore, like other minor metropolitans, has its own financial district, park districts, residential districts, and an interstate highway running through it. Strangely, Elmore operates in a fashion to what one would expect from an autonomous nation. The small city has its own currency, the Elmore dollar, its own airline, various large attractions and amenities which would be expected from a larger city, and an exceedingly large and glamorous bank bearing the town’s name. Elmore borders a large river to the south named the Yolo River (referencing the real life Napa River). Two other rivers border the city. To the north is the Lol River and in the east is the East Otter River. Around the same area are numerous parks, including Mad Squirrels Park. To the southwest of the city is a large unnamed island where Interstate 750 and Interstate 80 meet into an intersection that leads out of town. Elmore is known to neighbor at least two towns: Big Bun City and Panays Town. There are no humans in Elmore, just cartoonish people that break the rules of nature.

Darwin seems like an ordinary young fish living in Elmore, but he is far more special than that…

Darwin is a small orange goldfish with arms and legs. His goldfish-shaped head takes up his entire body, with his fins hanging down from it. He has retained his goldfish tail and fins, the latter of which he now uses as arms and hands. The inside of Darwin's mouth is red, and his tongue is red-orange.

Darwin lives in a small fish tank with a fish castle on top of a podium in a mysterious van that sells mysterious items. It usually is located in the mall parking lot. He is owned by the van shopkeeper(unknown name).

Darwin had the ability to talk, but hides it.
