"Darling, WAIT-!"

Jacques practically yiped as the two of you picked up speed on the ice, flying past other couples, friends or families that were skating. Fall in Mortem was slowly fading out & becoming winter, colder weather nipping at the city as November slowly was coming to an end. Since he wasn't working, the two of you had plenty more time for dates these days. Today had been all about you - sharing a huge hot chocolate, shopping, dinner at the small Ramen shop, & now having gotten him to try ice skating.

He felt like a newborn deer at first, legs shaky as you slowly guided him along the ice. He wobbled quite a bit & nearly fell once, though you kept him stable until he got the hang of it. And soon enough he was laughing & smiling along with you, the music around the rink singing out 'You Make Me Feel So Young' by Frank Sinatra over the crowd of citizens. Your scarves flew behind you, his free hand hanging onto his fedora as you danced over the rink, frost from the breath of everyone up in the air. His once fear filled face now had a huge laughing grin plastered all over it as he gripped your hand tighter.

"I can't feel my face or legs anymore!"
