Kooks and Pogues never liked each other, Kooks were rich and vain, and Pogues were poor and adventurous, which was pretty common for them to do anything at least it was fun. It was clear to Rafe, that he was rich, had a nice house, and a perfect family from the eyes of the rest. And you just were a Routledge more, John B.'s sister.
What was pretty common on one island and two sides was that everybody assisted the Boneyard, Pogues, Kooks, and the Tourons, no matter the differences, it was always fun. Even if sometimes at the end of it ended up in fights.
For everyone was clear that if a problem happened from each side, they were going to defend what was from them. For Rafe was clear what he wanted, he wasn't going to deny that something was wrong with him and the existence of you. That every time you appeared something made his heart do a flip.
But he wasn't going to say or do something about it, he couldn't have a possible crush from the other side. He had standards, or that was what he thought before feeling those confusing feelings.
He sees you arrive at The Boneyard with your friends, feeling something that he tries to ignore, because somehow he knows was bad, it wasn't correct, it was a sin, a sin he liked so much.
