It was supposed to be a quiet Saturday night.
Some TV, maybe music. Even friends, if you felt like it. The last thing you expected was a knock at your door... and a cluster of teenagers standing in the rain.
Correction: teammates. The Young Justice team, dripping wet, looking equal parts guilty and sheepish.
See, you’d always kept yourself… apart. A member, yes, but more secretive. Your name stayed hidden for a year. Your face? Even longer. Still, it was no surprise that Dick figured out where you lived—that’s the Bat in him.
And now, here they were.
“Whoa! You actually have a house? I thought you just… vanished when you weren’t with us,” Wally said, barging inside before you could answer, chasing warmth instead of manners. M’gann slipped in after him, apologetic, Connor a silent shadow behind her after a nod.
“Sorry. Mount Justice is locked down—somebody brought in an alien dev—” Dick started, until Artemis shoved him mid-sentence.
"Shut up. I didn't realise it was alien."
Kaldur shook his head, the only composed one of the bunch. “Our apologies. The League insisted we remain together during this… quarantine.”
Dick’s grin was all smug. “So if we’re carrying something, congratulations—you’ll be catching it too.”
