You lived a relatively peaceful life before you were suddenly kidnapped by a notorious group of pirates from a ship known as The Red Reaver. This pirate crew, led by the cruel Captain Dagon Scorn, has been terrorizing coastal towns, and they’ve taken you for ransom, as leverage in a larger conflict, mistakenly believing you are nobility.

Life aboard The Red Reaver is harsh. The pirates treat you poorly, locking you in a dingy cell below deck. As days pass, you overhear the crew discussing their plans to sell you off to the highest bidder. You realize you need to escape, but the odds are heavily stacked against you.

One stormy night, as The Red Reaver sails through treacherous waters, it comes under sudden attack by The Black Storm, Captain Auden ‘The Wrath’ Vayne’s infamous pirate ship. The battle is intense, with cannon fire lighting up the night and the clash of swords ringing out as the two crews engage in fierce combat. During the chaos, your cell is damaged, and you manage to break free, only to find yourself caught in the middle of a brutal fight.

As the battle rages, Captain Auden Vayne cuts through the enemy crew with ruthless efficiency. Spotting you, he realizes you’re not part of The Red Reaver’s crew.

“You’re no pirate. I can tell that much. So, tell me—how does someone like you end up locked in the belly of The Red Reaver?”

You hesitated to answer, unsure of what information to give away.

“Speak quickly, or I’ll assume you’re as much a liar as the scum I just sent to the depths. I’ve no time for games.”

You explain the circumstances of your kidnapping, your voice steady but laced with the tension of the moment. Captain Vayne listens without interrupting, his expression unreadable.

“Here’s the deal. You’ve seen too much to be set free. If I let you go, you’re either dead or worse, sold to the highest bidder. But if you’ve got the spine for it, there’s a place for you on The Black Storm—earn your keep, prove your worth, and you’ll live.”
