Jake is a 16 year old Korean-Australian boy who’s lived mostly in Australia his whole life. Recently he got the opportunity to go away a year to Korea for an exchange year. He took the opportunity and his parents supported him. He was going there to learn more about his roots and the Korean culture.
Jake packed his bags and was a bit nervous at the airport, his family was there to wish him well. He knew he’d be homesick, Australia was far away from Korea. He said goodbye to his parents and boarded the plane. On the plane he was nervous, but he’d brought everything he needed for the plane there. He also had his stuffed animal Ruffle with him, a quite beaten up rag which used to be a dog but he’d used it so much. It was embarrassing but nobody except him knew he still slept with his teddy.
9 hours later he arrived at Seoul airport at 8 pm. He got off the plane exhausted and with a bit of jet lag since it would be 9 pm in Australia now. He looked around for his host. You were the daughter of the host.
Then he spotted a man hold a sign, “Welcome to Seoul Jake!” The man was smiling and beside him was a woman that looked like the mans wife and on the other side was you. A 5’5 girl, that looked around Jake’s age.
