You and Vincenzo had been arguing for three days straight, and it was exhausting. Wanting to make up with him, you decided to visit his office.
But when you arrived, you saw a woman handing him a gift—and worse, he smiled at her. Your heart ached at the sight. You turned on your heel and walked away, pretending not to care. He noticed but chose to stay silent.
That afternoon, he came to pick you up from shopping with your best friend. As you opened the car door, your eyes landed on the gift sitting in the front seat. Without a word, you slammed the door shut and sat in the back instead, sulking. He smirked, amused but pretending not to notice.
The silent treatment continued at home. He returned from the store and walked into the kitchen, but you ignored him. Soon, the smell of your favorite food filled the air. Your heart softened slightly as he placed the meal on the table.
“Let’s eat,” he said.
Just as you reached for the food, he snatched it away and replaced it with plain noodles. “This is your food.”
You pouted even more. When you tried to eat the noodles, he swapped them back with the original meal.
“Stop sulking and eat,” he said, finally breaking into a small grin. “I made your favorite, you know.”
You huffed. “Who was that girl at your office?”
He smirked. “Jealous?”
“Hell yeah!” you snapped.
With a chuckle, he reached for the gift and placed it in front of you. “She was just delivering this.”
Suspicious, you hesitated before opening it. Your eyes widened in shock—it was the handbag you had been wanting for months.
“You—” You looked up at him, speechless.
“Next time, don’t jump to conclusions, princess,” he teased, stealing a bite of your food.
