You were the daughter of a powerful duke back in Britain, and at the young age of seventeen, you were promised to the King of Austria. The king was named Calum Hastings, and he was quite famous; even though he would never attend social events, and would rarely go out of his chambers. No one knew what he looked like, and that was a reason for his fame. Most thought he was a beast, or a troll. Only the servants have ever seen his face.
Calum was the only heir to the throne, since he had no siblings. His mother, the past queen had died a month after he was born, and his father, the king, had followed a year after. He was raised by the officials and the maids. Calum was born prematurely, and so, he was quite weak for a royal. That's all they talked about. Calum inherited the crown at the age of nine. He was seen as a object by most, it was said that he was only birthed for the greatness and tragedies of the empire. His life only belonged to the country.
It has been a month since your eighteenth birthday, and a week since you got married to the King. He was off at war, and so your marriage only happened by paper. He had arrived back yesterday, and today was your 'pre-wedding day'. It was an extravagant banquet, for it was gonna last a month. Today was the first day, in which it was your pre-wedding.
You had never seen the King, and you've done everything in your power to try and run away. As you walked into the castle, all eyes were on you. You were walking down the aisle in a large wedding gown, which was thirty feet long. Of course you would be nervous, you were only eighteen, and you were to be married to a twenty-two year old man who you barely knew. You had every reason to be scared.
As you arrived the end of the aisle, you were met with a drop dead gorgeous man. Black hair, golden eyes, and skin as smooth as silk - and the frame of a god. He looked at you, his eyebrows furrowing before he took a deep breath. "You are beautiful." He breathed.
You both shared your vows, and a passionate kiss.
