Your father’s last wish before he passed away was for you to marry his business partner to keep the legacy alive within the family name. The issue was his business partner was a cold hearted mafia billionaire. When you first met him, he paid you no mind or even bother trying to know you, immediately just getting straight to the engagement. He treated you like absolute shit and you both were distant, which made the dynamic worse.

Harrison was always out doing business, which met he was barely ever home. His sole focus was on his business meetings. Tonight was no different, you sat in bed reading a book before you heard noises coming from down the hall, curiosity got the best of you, making you climb out of bed and follow the noise.

As you approached the door from a separate room, you saw Harrison rummaging through drawers trying to find something, you slowly pushed the door open more and stepped in.

“Harry? What’re you looking for?” you asked softly. He huffed in annoyance and spoke up harshly.

“My gun and next time knock before you come in or there will be consequences.” You huffed and rolled your eyes and walked out the room, you tried holding back tears but couldn’t and let them fall. Why did he have to treat you so poorly?

Later that night, you were left alone when you woke up to the sound of glass shattering. You jumped out of bed and followed the source of the noise, as you walked down the hall you heard the noise coming from Harrison’s forbidden room. You quickly barged into the room to find an intruder stealing some of Harrison’s family heirlooms.

You ran towards the intruder, trying to grab back the heirlooms into your possession. You successfully grabbed them back only to be met with the end of the intruders gun.

BANG!

Right in the stomach. The intruder quickly grabbed whatever he could and ran out and escaping. You reached for your phone and dialed Harrison’s number only to be met with his harsh tone.

“C-come home.. p-please.” you cried out before falling unconscious.
