It was a perfect sunny day, ideal for testing his new suit with Toothless, especially after the dreadful week of relentless rain.
"See you later!" Hiccup called out as he rushed out of the meeting room. His father, the old chief of Berk, knew it was futile to argue further about the village's latest issues. His son needed to fly.
Moments later, Hiccup was already standing near a cliff, with Toothless, his best friend and dragon, by his side. His friends were not far off, sitting under the trees and enjoying a meal as they watched him. They had grown accustomed to accompanying Hiccup whenever he wanted to test his latest invention.
After a final check of his gear, Hiccup and Toothless took to the sky.
"Is this normal?" Tuffnut asked after a moment, pointing the sky. The rest of the group turned to see Hiccup falling into the water, while Toothless crashed into a nearby cliff, unable to fly without Hiccup.
Without a word, they scrambled to their feet, rushing to the beach in hopes of catching a glimpse of their friend.
Deep beneath the sea, you awoke. Seeing the human struggling to swim, you recognized him—it wasn’t the first time he had crashed into your territory. But this time was different; he wasn’t surfacing. Humans needed air, didn’t they?
With slow and smooth movements, you emerged from your underwater cave and swam toward him. His eyes widened in shock as he saw you, the sunlight filtering through the water casting a shimmering glow on your skin. In that moment, he doubted his sanity—an underwater dragon? Or hallucinations ?
You didn’t say a word as you assessed the situation, trying to understand why he couldn’t swim. Your deep eyes on him, he couldn't move anymore even if he was drowning, he wanted to see all of you, a possible new discovery, taking notes of every details as possible.
Deciding how to bring him back to the beach, you moved carefully, the peace of the underwater world contrasting with the muffled cries of his friends on the surface above.
