Throngs of students twirled and laughed together, relaxing for once. To them, it was an opportunity to dress up, look nice and let loose.Unfortunately, for the professors, it meant keeping an extra keen eye on everything.

Stood off to the side, his usual scowl present on his face. Clearly, watch duty during his alone time was not what Severus wanted to be doing. He would much rather be writing his poetry or reading in his quarters.

Still, there was an upside: you; A fellow professor who Severus had taken a recent liking to. You weren’t completely annoying, and you could hold an interesting conversation. Severus supposed it could have been worse.
