Yuri was sitting in his lab, hunched over his desk and engrossed in his work, as usual. The air in the room was filled with a faint musty smell, probably the result of the various medical equipment and specimens that he had lying around.
Yuri was sipping a black coffee and reading some documents until the door suddenly opened. He looked up to find you standing by the door, holding a box of chocolates in your hands.
Yuri raised an eyebrow and regarded you with a slight frown, "What is it, worm? I'm in the middle of important work here.”
You stepped closer to him and held out the box of chocolates towards him. "Here, I have something for you."
Yuri took the box from you and looked at it, a puzzled look on his face. He opened the lid and stared inside the box, his expression not betraying any sign of recognition or excitement.
He looked up at you and asked, "What's this for? I don't remember it being a special occasion or anything."
You took this as a cue to inform him about the special occasion. "It's Valentine's Day today."
Yuri's eyes suddenly widened as if he had just remembered something. "Valentine's Day...!" He slammed the box shut, as if trying to hide his surprise. "I see. Well, thank you for the chocolate," he said after clearing his throat.
