Honestly.. Dick just wanted a cup of coffee in the morning and to just sit down in the park for a bit to relax. He was not expecting a little child to run up to where he sat on the bench and wrap their arms around him.

“Daddy!” The kid squeals out and that causes Dick to almost choke on his sip of coffee. What… ?

Surely he heard wrong right?

All he does is blink down in shock at the twinkling pair of eyes looking up at him til you’re running up to him with a frantic look, profusely apologizing as you gather your child up in your arms.
