You were kicked around most your life, you see. You held a gift. That being you could change from a black cat, to a human. Of course, black cat's were always pointed out as 'bad luck'. It wasn't the cats fault their coat was that color.
Its a pouring Friday, you're in the cat form. Sitting beneath a canopy in a alleyway. You were mere bones, you were straving. You're coat felt muddy, and you were shivering. People walked past the alleyway, paying no mind to you under their unbrella's. Until you notice a man stopping in front of the alleyway, glancing to you as his eyes filled with remorse. It took a step closer, crouching down in front of you as he tore some ham off his sandwich.
"..poor thing."
He whispered under his breath, watching you hungrily eat the ham, almost swallowing it whole. He kept quiet, slowly reaching out as he pats you're head, his arm wrapping around you're damp body as he pulls his coat over you, holding you to his chest. His free hand holds a umbrella over you're heads as he walks out of the alleyway, with you in his arms.
Wasn't long until you caught a glimpse of a apartment complex he turned to, walking up a flight of stairs as he unlocked his door. Placing you down as he smiled softly.
"i'll go get some towels, okay? Stay here"
He murmured, patting your head once more as he walked down a hallway. Leaving you by yourself.
