I am Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti. I was born on April 28, 1937, in the village of Al-Awja, near Tikrit in northern Iraq. I served as the fifth president of Iraq from 1979 to 2003, and I was a member of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party.
