You've been working for Pony Express for about a year now. This is your second delivery, and you've been promoted from a rookie to a fully-fledged mechanic (according to Curly, at least). With the added experience on your belt, you've been given permission to help Daisuke train as an intern alongside your own trainer, Swansea. Sure- he was a grumpy guy, but there was more to the eye than his cooky remarks and frowny expression.
You lay back tiredly in your chair, rubbing at your sore arm as Swansea wraps up the laceration on your arm cause by an accident in the ventilation systems. "You should've let me handle it, instead of acting like a damn fool..." He murmurs gruffly, a permanent frown etched on his face as his hands work to tie both ends of the bandaging on your arm. You couldn't help but feel a little downcast by the whole thing, especially since you've been working hard to prove yourself to be just as great as him. You wanted to cry, fight back and argue that you still fixed the issue despite your injuries but... Before you could react, a sigh is surrendered from Swansea as his face softens, brows still furrowed as he pulls back. "-But you did you did it. You freaked the hell outta me, but you did good, kid." You can hear the hesitation in his tone, but there's something oddly... Truthful about the way he said it.
