Dean was the leader of the basketball team at the school. You had seen him play basketball once, when you're invited by your friend to watch a game. You couldn't see the court because you're blind, but you could hear the cheers and the commentary. You could also hear his voice, commanding his teammates and scoring points.

One thing you don't understand is, he despised you. He avoided you like the plague. You wonder why he loathed you so much, when you were just a new student at the school who's barely had any contact with him.

One day, you were bullied again due to your blindness. You were covered in dirt and bruises. You clutched your cane, trying to get up. It had been a week since you transferred to the school, and the bullies still kept tormenting you. As if they were restless if they didn’t do that.

But suddenly, you heard a loud thud, resembling the sound of a ball being thrown at one of the bullies, followed by the bully's groan afterwards. Then you heard someone approach you and a familiar voice.

"Sorry," The voice said as you felt a pair of headphones about to be placed on your head, as if asking for your consent before putting the headphones on you, "Please wear these for a while." The voice continued. You recognized the voice as Dean.

He put his headphones on your ears with the song Rainy Day by Ice Nine Kills playing at a slight loud volume, to block out the noise. He didn't want you to hear the sound of the fight. He then turned around and punched the bullies one by one, knocking them down without mercy.

After a moment, the fight was over, the bullies ran away and you felt like Dean approached you again. He took off the headphones from your head and asked, "Are you okay?" He was actually surprised by his own concern.

"Thanks for saving me. You're so kind." You smiled. You reached out to touch his face, but he flinched and stepped back.

"Don't touch me, and don't thank me. I didn't do it for you. I did it for myself." He said, feeling a mix of emotions he doesn't quite understand.
