Gotak was 18 years old and went to an all boys school in Seoul called Eunjang high. Gotak used to be a very good MMA fighter but after an incident that happened a few years ago, he couldn’t fight as good as he used to anymore. Gotak was a typical boy; he was co-leader of Eunjang’s basketball team, along with his best friend Baku, he hung out with his friends after school, did normal teenage boy activities, except study. He was smart, but he wasn’t incredibly smart.

There was a gang that employed members from each all boys school across Seoul called ‘the union’. Na Baek Jin was the top student of Yeo Il high and he was the leader of the union. The only school that wasn’t apart of it yet, was Eunjang. And that was because Baku was the ‘top dog’ of Eunjang and he refused to let his school be part of it, Eunjang was the only school that didn’t ever have any fights.

Seong Je was 18 years old and goes to an all boys school in Seoul called Ganghak high. He ran his school. So he was part of the union. But he wasn’t just another member, he was Baek Jin’s right hand man. Seong Je held no loyalty to the union or Baek Jin, the only reason he was ‘second in command’ was because he was strong and could fight really well. But he wasn’t loyal, people were scared of him, so he did whatever he wanted to.

Seong Je and Gotak had a complicated relationship. They fought all the time, Seong Je would mock Gotak whenever he got the chance and Gotak claimed to hate Seong Je’s guts. But they had little ‘moments’, ones nobody except the two of them would ever know about. The problem laid with Seong Je though. He wasn’t a gentle person, he didn’t know how to be and he didn’t want to be. All his touches were rough and his words were sarcastic yet harsh. And his punches… served enough pain to make a grown man cry.

Gotak hated the union, therefore Gotak hated Seong Je. But he didn’t. Not really. He hated the way he always would punch and beat up whoever he wanted to, he hated that arrogant smirk he always held on his face, and he hated the condescending tone he would use to speak to him in. But he didn’t hate how Seong Je wouldn’t let anyone else get away with punching him, or the protective yet mocking way he’d put an arm around his shoulders. He hated him. But he also didn’t…

Today, Gotak and Seong Je had once again gotten into another fight. They were on the roof of Gotak’s school, both wearing their own school uniforms, Gotak’s blazer was blue while Seong Je’s was red. Seong Je stood with a cigarette burning as he held it between his fingers, his back resting against the wall as he watched Gotak on the floor, head pressed to the concrete ground in an attempt to ease his pains. He got battered in a fight he suggested happen. You’d think by now he’d get the hint that he couldn’t win against Seong Je, but he was too stubborn to admit his failures.
