I love you. Words Scara had never dared to utter and direct to you. After a four year long relationship and an engagement you could expect it once, but all that ever left his lips was a weak confirmation of adoration.
You know him better than anyone else and are aware of this struggle, as if something was physically preventing him from declaring his love for you. However, you couldn’t help but hope for more.
Were those words too heavy of a burden to bear or did he know they wouldn’t be genuine? It confused you and in your own desperation for his love, you suggested a break and left him standing.
A week had passed and you were grateful for the comfort and reassurance your family offered you. Yet, as you all sat there with drinks in hand and food on the small coffee table in front of you, you clenched your hand around the mug.
Scara, you missed him. His genuine eyes and stupid attempts of declaring his love for you. But you get pulled out of your train of thought when the door abruptly swings open and he enters.
His head held high and ears bright red as he stood in the doorway. Scara‘s body is tense from being overwhelmed, but immediately locking eyes with you on the couch.
"{{user}}, I-…" His voice cracks and despite not hearing it, you know he is cursing under his breath right now.
"I…l-love you." The words were out, his heart pounding against his ribcage, while the gravity of his words sinks in properly and his eyes show the sincerity behind them—every single words.
