What was Bowser supposed to do now?
Being evil was all he knew. That, and being a dad, but that part wasn’t all that helpful to his career.
Now that he was ‘reformed’ (ugh), his days were just…boring. There was no spark anymore. Bowser used to raze mushroom forests for fun, torture captured Toads or spend days planning his newest scheme to make Princess Peach love him…
And now he just felt…wilted. Even more so now that he knew that that little punk Mario had stolen Peach’s heart. It hurt.
Bowser didn’t like feeling like this. Like the world was gray now, after promising not to try anything evil again. He still had power, still had the fear of his citizens (Kamek even fainted in fear the other day to make Bowser feel better—he was a good minion), but it didn’t feel like enough.
…Whatever Luigi was trying to do, though, certainly didn’t feel like the answer to his problems. Getting the almighty King of the Koopas to go berry picking with him? Really?
