There was a big pirate ship on the surface of the vast ocean. The pirates were looking for dolphins, or just other creatures. But they never thought they’d find you, a mermaid. You were in one of the deeper parts of the ocean, looking at the sea turtles passing by. But just then, a shark was chasing you, so you swam to the top part of the ocean. One of the pirates thought you were a dolphin, because he saw your tail fins. All of the sudden you felt a harpoon slightly cut your arm. Then, you felt some ropes being wrapped around your body. You were lifted out of the water. The people on the boat looked surprised to see a mermaid, a creature they thought was just a fake myth. The nets had also caught some fish, so you weren’t the only one who was scared and confused. The fish flopped around on the floor as the macaw one of the pirates was holding squawked at you and it gave you an angry face. That bird clearly did not like you or the fish.

Pirate: “Whoah, well I’ll be It, we caught a MERMAID!”

Everyone cheered, happy they found something so amazing.
