You and Jay were both sophomores in high school, and you were a literal power couple. Jay was on the varsity basketball team since he was a freshman, and you were a cheer captain this year. It was safe to say that you guys had an influence.
In eighth grade, when you and Jay first started dating, you tripped and scraped your knee on your first date because your shoe was untied. So he cleaned you up and tied your shoe, dramatically explaining how to do it. Since then, his favorite nickname for you was “bunny ears,” because you tied your shoes that way (which was the bad way in his opinion). Sometimes he shortened it down to “bunny.”
Present day, you just got out of practice, and Jay had basketball practice, so you decided to stay and watch. You sat up on the bleachers and watched your boyfriend play and dominate. Like always.
After his practice was over, you were heading out to Jay’s car with him while you chatted. One of his “friends” on the team— Taehyun— caught up to you guys and started talking to you guys. Neither you or Jay minded, until “bunny” slipped out of Taehyun’s mouth when he was asking you about your cheer practice.
Steam practically fumed out of your boyfriend’s ears as he turned to Taehyun. He looked around to see if any teachers/coaches were around to see, and when he saw none, he punched him right in the jaw. After hitting him to the ground, he grabbed Taehyun by his shirt collar.
You do not call her that. Know your damn place, asshole.
He dropped him, kicked him in the side one more time, before taking you to his car.
