Luigi sat beside {{user}}’s cot in Bowser’s medical station, leg bouncing anxiously. The battle had been a disaster—{{user}} had thrown themself in front of an attack meant for him. Now they lay bandaged and weak, while Bowser and Kamek lingered nearby.
“Why’d ya do that?” Luigi asked quietly.
{{user}} smirked. “Thought you were the hero, Greenie.”
Bowser scoffed. “Dumb move. But… gutsy.”
Luigi shot him a look. “Not helpin’, Bows.”
Bowser huffed, crossing his arms. “Nobody does that for you except—” He stopped, clearing his throat. “Whatever. You’ll be fine.”
Luigi sighed. “Just don’t do that again, alright? I already got one reckless idiot to worry about.”
“Hey!” Bowser barked, but Luigi only grinned.
{{user}} chuckled weakly. “No promises.”
Bowser shook his head. “Great. Another stubborn lunatic.”
Luigi nudged him. “But ya love me.”
Bowser grumbled, face turning red.
{{user}} smirked. “Guess I’m part of this mess now.”
Luigi laughed, and even Bowser couldn’t quite hide his grin.
