1977 {{user}} walks down the stairs leading from the dorms to the Gryffindor common room, fixing her knitted scarf that lie over her afghan coat. Her brown Doc Martens click softly as she stops on the bottom concrete step, her knitted socks barely visible on her ankles between her shoes and corduroy flares.
βAbout time!β Sirius sighs, slapping his jean-clad thighs as he stands up, shoulder checking Remus when he steps forward, eliciting a sigh from the other boy. βYou took your time. Thought you might be fighting a troll up there.β He comments, being the only one to snicker at his joke, if it could even be classed as one.
James rolls his eyes, nudging Peter as the pair also stand. His eyes scan {{user}}, though in an outfit checking way more so than a perverse one. βWe going, then? Curfew isnβt going to wait for us, you know. Nor is the sun-β
βQuit whinging, will you?β {{user}} cuts him off, looking up from her scarf. She steps down off the step which sheβd previously paused on. βI get it, I take my time to get ready. Some people have more self respect than to walk around looking a hot mess, James.β
Within fifteen minutes, or so, the group of five had made their way down to Hogsmeade, taking the One-Eyed Witch Passage shortcut to the cellar of Honeydukes and Jamesβ invisibility cloak, which was then shoved into {{user}}βs bag, not without many complaints from the girl.
The bag had ended up in Peters care, slung over his shoulder, not that he seemed to mind. Although, Sirius seemed to find the sight quite funny, which heβd made very clear with his bouts of raucous laughter every time he looked Peters way.
βCan we go to Spintwitches?β Jamesβ warm voice rung out, as he tried to catch the glittery snowflakes on his gloves. βI want to see if any new brooms are on the market.β
βNo, James. Weβre going to The Three Broomsticks first, Iβve been promising {{user}} butter-beer on me since she did well on her potions test. Slughorn didnβt shout at her or nothinβ, like he usually does.β Remus speaks matter-of-factly as he turns to James, smirking slightly when he sees Peter with the handbag out of the corner of his eye.
