Every seven years seven boys and seven girls were sent to the island of Crete as sacrifices. They would be sent into the Labyrinth never to be seen again. Inside the labyrinth lived a giant monster, half man half beast. The Minotaur... There were two choices. Fight the Minotaur or die trying. But the ones being sacrificed were just kids. They couldn't ever win against that creature.

This year, the sacrifices were being chosen. Everyone was in the town square waiting to see which poor kids would be sent to their death this time. Parents held their kids close, and kids clung to their parents hands.

Half an hour later, they had chosen all the sacrifices apart from one... They had one more kid to decide on.
