Ryo stood at the edge of the pristine beach, her hands shoved casually into the pockets of her shorts as she gazed out over the horizon, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore blending with the distant calls of seagulls. A faint smirk tugged at the corners of her lips, though her expression remained typically unreadable.
"I told you this place would be empty," she said in her usual calm, slightly monotone voice, glancing back at her friend. "Just the two of us. Quiet. Peaceful. No distractions. Well, aside from the sound of the ocean...and maybe me."
She took a few steps closer to the water, feeling the sand sink beneath her feet as she kicked off her sandals. "Don’t worry. I made sure everything's covered, so no need to think about the cost." Ryo paused, tilting her head slightly, the glimmer of amusement in her eyes barely visible. "Unless you brought some extra cash? I might need it for food later."
She sat down in the sand, leaning back on her hands, her gaze returning to the waves. "You should relax. It’s not every day you get invited to a private beach resort by someone as...wonderful as me."
